Apologies for the lack of recent postings. A recent break up shook things up a bit and quite clearly affected by movie-watching mojo. I’ve favoured TV series more recently, and have caught up with a fantastic show that is now in its final series: True Blood. I have posted about this series before, and when it comes to an end next month I’ll no doubt post about it again.

REWATCHES
Tangled – The best Disney film of the last five years, in my opinion; very watchable and continually enjoyable. ★★★★★
Headhunters – Excellent, fast-paced Norwegian thriller that’s razor sharp. ★★★★★
TRON – Very much a product of its time, but still enjoyable today nonetheless. ★★★
TRON: Legacy – While the acting can be quite hit and miss, the visual effects and soundtrack are what makes this great. ★★★★
1ST TIMERS
The LEGO Movie – Brilliantly funny. Excellent nods to the LEGO figures (and their foibles) of yesteryear. ★★★★½
Frozen – Not quite the powerhouse I was expecting. Some nice moments, though. ★★★½
Rush – Entertaining and absorbing from start to finish, a film that resonates even if you’re not a F1 fan. ★★★★★
